Fourteen years across four countries has taught me the difference between impressive practices and sustainable ones. I've been associate and employer, co-owned four practices, locumed between 3 countries, made significant mistakes, and learned what actually creates careers that serve your life rather than consume it.
I now run a practice in Thames, New Zealand, while practicing in a boutique practice in Cornwall, UK—not through luck, but through understanding which systems are essential and which are comfortable habits.
